Virginia Tech and UCLA will face off in a game featuring two polarizing quarterback prospects.

The Hokies are led by Logan Thomas. Once heralded by many, including myself in a 2011 preseason mock draft, as a potential #1 overall pick, Thomas has not played anywhere close to that lofty status over the last two seasons. A couple of weeks ago I gave first takes on some 2014 prospects. My post-draft apathy towards film study is finally gone, so here are more early impressions on a couple of prominent ACC quarterbacks, Logan Thomas and Tajh Boyd.

Friday Bowls: Who to Watch

There are three games on December 28th. My attention will be squarely in Shreveport for my alma mater, Ohio University taking on LA Monroe in the Independence Bowl. At Reliant Stadium in Houston, the Meineke Car Care Bowl pits Minnesota against Texas Tech, and the Russell Athletic Bowl in Orlando pits Rutgers and Virginia Tech in the marquee game of the day.

There are limited 2013 NFL Draft prospects in both the Independence and Meineke Bowls, so the primary focus here will be on Rutgers and Virginia Tech, with some players to keep an eye on in the other games.
