A battle between two southern universities this game bolsters two teams that have both exceeded expectations by the thoughts of many. Arkansas showed to be extremely competitive all year despite the lack of high level recruits and 5 star athletes. Texas struggled at the beginning and end of the season but they started to find their stride in between until injuries struck. Both Texas and Arkansas are young teams with plenty of upcoming talent to look for in future years but there are also many prospects to watch for in this years draft class from a variety of different positions. The Texas Longhorns make the short drive down I-35 to San Antonio to play the high-flying Oregon Ducks in the Alamo Bowl.

This will represent Mack Brown’s finale as coach of the Longhorns after a strange and controversial “will he stay or won’t he?” trip over the last two years. (more…)

The Red River Rivalry wasn’t much of a contest, as the Sooners jumped out to a big early lead and never relented. Oklahoma won 63-21 in a breakout game from Trey Millard, who made the Texas Fairgrounds his personal playground.
