Robert Woods could be celebrating TDs in Ford Field as the 36th overall pick
Jeff Risdon, DLD Editor
Continuing in the series with options for specific positions at every draft spot, today we hit the wide receivers. Expectations are that the Lions will address the position at some point in the draft, as there is a clear need to fill the void left by the mental incapacity of Titus Young and the injuries to Nate Burleson and Ryan Broyles. This is a great draft to need wide receiver help; here at DLD we have over 50 receivers with draftable grades, though the top tier lacks the certainty and wattage of more recent classes.

Jeff Risdon, DLD Editor
I included a couple of plausible trades in this one. They are indicated with an asterisk. Obviously the next couple of weeks of free agency will change some needs and potential targets for some teams, but not as dramatically as many might think.
As always, this is my projection of what teams might do in the given situation. It does not represent the choices I would make in the same situations or reflect my player ratings/grades. Also, my goal beyond the first 20 or so picks is much more about player and draft slot rather than team and player.

Quinton Patton is a definite winner from today’s practice
Jeff Risdon, DLD Editor
This was my first look at the South roster and I spent most of the day looking at linebackers, secondary, tight ends, and wideouts. If you’re the type that likes to listen to music while reading, most of this was typed to Rush’s Snakes and Arrows live CD.

These events always strike me as bizarre. Hundreds of men gathered in a large conference room to watch young men parade forward in their underwear and get weighed and measured, taking meticulous notes about builds and what strikes their fancy.
