I know it will be hard for Lions fans to look past Dee Milliner’s 40-yard dash time, but there were some other DBs that performed in Indy who will merit attention from the Lions at various points in the draft. I’ll have a breakdown of the most viable candidates for the #5 tomorrow, and that list is a lot smaller than it was a week ago and it includes Mr. Milliner. He is the only DB on that list.

This summary omits a few players that will go before the Lions pick in the 2nd round(Jamar Taylor, Kenny Vaccaro, Xavier Rhodes, Desmond Trufant) and Tyrann Mathieu, who I am reliably told is not on the Lions draft board.

With only the BCS Championship Game still on the docket, here’s an updated 3-round mock with plenty of changes and a lot of surprises.

Round One:
1. Kansas City Chiefs: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia. New Coach Andy Reid is a QB guru at heart, and the team must improve at the position to get competitive. Smith has warts but landing with Reid is probably his best-case scenario.
