Giovani Bernard lacks height, but has enough stature as our #1 running back
This year’s class doesn’t feature a Trent Richardson or Adrian Peterson, but there is very good depth and variety in the middle and later rounds. The projected draft ranges are verified with input from NFL scouts and personnel evaluators and do not necessarily match up with the ratings. Most of the grades here are straight from the scouting reports compiled by Jeff Risdon and Darren Page.

The Lions are in the market for a speed back to complement Mikel Leshoure and Joique Bell, as well as to perhaps take over the vacant punt and kick return duties. Rushing to get these notes typed before my plane takes off, so I apologize in advance for the more sparse details than normal.
Standouts:
Howard LB Keith Pough is very hard to miss with his half-shirt and nonstop yapping. It’s also hard to ignore his very strong play this week, and today was his best so far. In a blitz drill he went right over SMU RB Zach Line, and in another rep he used a real quick shoulder fake that got him a clean pass. He exudes fast-twitch musculature. His constant jabbering, which is almost universally well-received, echoes of Sean Weatherspoon at the Senior Bowl a few years back. Pough is not as sturdily built but has a similar game and mentality.
