Ten Prospects for Lions Fans to Watch During Shrine Game Week

While postseason bowls pop up and fade out, two have long legs of importance in the NFL draft process. The East-West Shrine Game and the Senior Bowl are the two premiere events on the scouting calendar between the end of the regular season and the Combine at the end of February.

First up is the Shrine Game in St. Petersburg this coming week. I’ll be there in person for every practice and giving reports daily, plus instant tidbits on Twitter @JeffRisdon.

Texas Bowl Scouting Preview

Syracuse and Minnesota head to Reliant Stadium in Houston to square off for the Texas Bowl, which lacks a snappy title sponsor this year after being brought to us by Meineke and Gallery Furniture in recent years.

Minnesota played in this very bowl a year ago, losing an intense barn-burner to Texas Tech. I was at that game, and that’s where I first really took notice of star DT Ra’Shede Hageman (#99). He was all over the field against the Red Raiders, and he figures to make quite an impact here as well. (more…)
