OTA Primer

Official Team Activities, more commonly known as OTAs, begin today for the Lions. This is the first time where the offense and defense get to face off in 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills, though contact is still prohibited. Also, these sessions are not mandatory per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Justin Durant Moves On

Durant will continue to wear a silver helmet, but his new one has a star on it

After sitting idly on the free agent sidelines for longer than anticipated, linebacker Justin Durant agreed to terms with the Dallas Cowboys. Because the Cowboys are over the salary cap they cannot officially sign Durant until they make other moves to clear room for him, but Durant has confirmed he will play for Dallas on a two-year deal.

Lions Put a Finger in the Dike by Bringing Back Levy

The Detroit Lions agreed to terms with impending free agent LB DeAndre Levy on Wed, according to the team’s website. Terms have yet to be disclosed but it is a multi-year deal that will keep Levy starting in Detroit for the foreseeable future.
